As parents, we know that one of the biggest stressors of the summer season can be finding a summer camp that both you and your child will love. It can seem impossible to find the time to sort through all the options to find the best camps, and to tell the truth, it can be! 1.) Snapology
If you are looking for the hottest new camp option in the area, check out Snapology of Gig Harbor , Snapology camps have been praised for years, but until now were not available locally. Luckily Snapology of Gig Harbor has just started offering these tried and true Summer Camps in the area.
Snapology offers STEM education camps that focus on fun, so your child will not even realize they are learning. Snapology uses LEGO® bricks, K’nex, laptops and iPads to teach kids about science, technology , engineering, art, and math concepts. Kids in these camps will try their hands at building their own amusement park, coding robots, making slime and so much more. The best part about these camps is that they actually get kids excited about going back to school when summer finally comes to an end.

2.) YMCA Camp Seymour
YMCA Camp Seymour offers a variety of summer camp programs, both overnight and day camps. Their primary focus is to disconnect children from technology and to connect them with a meaningful relationship with fellow campers and camp counselors. YMCA Camp Seymour camps are designed to help promote campers to find independence and self-identity while at their camps. Camps begin June 30th and are available for children starting as early as 2nd grade up until 12th grade.

3.) Skateworld
Skateworld of Tacoma summer camps are sure to provide your child with days of fun and memories that will last a lifetime. Their camps have a primary focus on physical activity, skating, mixed in with some educational and creative activities. All of their instructors are certified in skating, making them an accredited camp.

4.) Junior Sail
Junior Sail of Gig Harbor offers summer camps that teach your child the importance and skills of being around boats and aquatic life. Junior Sail teaches children the lifelong skills associated with boating, while also building self-confidence, teamwork and having fun! Each session is taught by Life Guard trained and CPR certified instructors to ensure your child’s safety.

5.) GGHF Curious by Nature School
GGHF by Nature School of Gig Harbor is a non-profit organization funded by the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation that provides children with the opportunity to explore their outside environments. Children are encouraged to explore the outdoors rain or shine to get hands-on experiences of exploring nature.
